“Participating residents had a lot of fun voting on their favorite establishments in the San Angelo area,” said Aaron Hargett, executive director of Baptist Retirement Community. “Sometimes the opinions of seniors are left off popularity and trend lists, and I believe releasing these survey results show they are still very active consumers and members of the greater San Angelo community.

“Of course, I’m personally excited to see that Main Street Café, the restaurant located on the ground level of the Henley-Mabee High-Rise on our campus, is so highly regarded by residents. And since the café is open to the public, anyone can come out and judge for themselves.”

Winning businesses and organizations were told of their selection last week. Each will receive an official San Angelo Seniors Select certificate thanking them for their service of seniors.

Results were obtained in July 2022 via a survey provided to 164 Baptist Retirement Community residents in independent living. Each category included four or more choices and the option to write-in a selection. Selections do not reflect the views and opinions of Buckner Retirement Services or Buckner International.
