Aaron joined the Baptist Retirement community senior leadership team in 2007. He holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology and has extensive experience in rehabilitation center management. Before becoming the executive director at Baptist Retirement Community, Aaron served as home health and hospice administrator and director of independent living.

KARLA DURGIN
DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS OFFICE
Karla Durgin began her role as business office manager at Baptist Retirement Community in 2016 after working with Buckner Retirement Services for more than 25 years where she has served in several different roles. Karla began her career as a dietary aide at a community in Iowa.
“If someone had told me that I would still be working at the same place all these years later, I would have said ‘Nah – you’re crazy,’ but God had other plans for me. I stay because I enjoy helping residents in any way I can. I am honored to be a part of this community and I look forward to many more years.”

Gregory has been with Baptist Retirement community since 2016. He is a military veteran with experience in leadership, faculty development, and operations management.

TANYA SOLSBERY

Tanya has been part of the Baptist Retirement community senior living team since 2008. She holds more than 20 years of experience in the senior living industry including home health care, hospice care, long-term acute care and memory care assisted living. At Baptist Retirement Community, she has served as administrator of home health and hospice and director of assisted living.

Janis has served with Baptist Retirement Community since 1993. She began her time with Baptist Retirement community working in human resources and has since held multiple positions within both healthcare services and independent living.

Michelle has served Baptist Retirement Community and its residents since 2016 when she began as a social worker intern while finishing her degree. Upon graduating, Michelle joined the team fulltime as a social worker at Sagecrest. Michelle now serves as the Senior Living Sales Director where she continues helping guide seniors through their retirement living options.

Stan began serving the residents of Baptist Retirement Community in 1994 where he has served as a charge nurse in long-term care, a home health and hospice nurse, a skilled nursing coordinator and now as the Director of Nursing.
“I got into the nursing field after spending time with my grandfather who was ill while I was in college. My favorite part of my job is getting to know the residents and building relationships with them and their families.”

SAGECREST ADMINISTRATOR
Daisy was hired as the Sagecrest Alzheimer’s Care Center Healthcare Administrator in 2021. With more than two decades of senior living experience, Daisy has worked in various departments such as medical records, central supply, HIPPA compliance, facility management, staffing and as a certified nurse’s aide. She has knowledge and expertise in a variety of different healthcare settings including ICF/IDD, long term care/skilled nursing, home health, and acute care hospitals. Daisy became a licensed nursing home administrator in 2019.
